Improving schools

Conscious of the high degree of poverty in the southern part Puerto Rico , EcoElectrica has institutionalized a program of collaboration with the elementary and intermediate schools in the area. Under the program it donates equipment and materials to complement the resources allocated by the government to these schools. Two of the most relevant programs include: (i) funding of the annual science fair which also involves the participation of company employees as volunteers, and (ii) the "adoption" of a Kindergarten, ensuring that children have uniforms, educational materials and proper physical conditioning of the school building and surroundings.
